Guard-O-Matic Has Moved

We have completed our move to the new location at 2730 E. Jones Avenue Suite 102. Our new location will allow us to provide better service to you, our valued customer. Centrally located just South of the Sky Harbor International Airport, we are now located in the heart of the Phoenix/Metro area, making it easier to dispatch and service the entire valley.

We are now able organize and stock a greater number of parts and equipment in our new warehouse, and have almost every type of spare panel and device in stock, thereby improving our response time by not having to place as many orders for individual jobs and service calls.

Our new dispatch "bullpen" allows Operations and Service to effectively communicate and take care of customer service better than ever before. The new sales office suite has its own conference room for presentations and meetings, and additional offices for our design and engineering staff.

We look forward to the future in our new location. Give us a call, and schedule a time to come down and visit!

Testing Your Alarm System

Periodic testing of your monitored alarms system is important to ensure that it's going to do its job when it has to. We recommend that you test your system at least once a month.

When testing your system, please follow these steps:

1. Call the monitoring station, tell the operator that you are going to test your system, and give them your name, address, and abort code.
2. Arm your system.
3. Open and close all doors and windows.
4. After siren sounds from 30 seconds, disarm your system.
5. Call the monitoring state, and verify that they received all of the alarm signals.

Call one of our customer service representatives at 480-831-8118 if you need assistance with testing your alarm.

Fall is Coming: Alarm Screens

It's almost hard to believe after another scorching Arizona summer, but fall is almost here, and it's almost time to open up the windows and enjoy the weather that we all live here for. Did you know that there is a way to enjoy the breeze while still having your windows secured?

Alarm screens are an excellent way to keep your home secure, and still enjoy the open spaces. Alarm screens are a valuable addition to your alarm system, and can be easily retrofitted to your existing windows and screen doors. An alarm screen has the same appearance as a regular screen, and comes in a variety of colors, including sun screens. The screen material contains a detection circuit that will activate your alarm if it is broken or cut. The frame also contains a magnetic contact, so it will activate an alarm if the screen is removed from the frame. There are disconnect-contacts on the inside of the screen assembly, which allow you to remove it from the frame for ease of cleaning.
